Hey, I’m Gabrielle

I’ve got your back.

I am skilled at supporting people through times of change and transition in their lives, meeting people where they are with gentleness and authenticity.

There are no cookie-cutters in therapy— I utilize a collaborative approach to counseling, tailoring my style to each individual as we work together to uncover what is holding you back from embracing your best self. My therapeutic work integrates psychodynamic therapy, gender-affirming care, feminist theory, and mindfulness from a trauma-informed lens.

A session with me includes warmth, humor, and a lot of unpacking.

You have already taken the first step to a better life.

Now take the next.

 FAQs

  • A good question without an easy answer. I like to say that there are no cookie-cutters in therapy; your sessions are as unique as you are. Typical sessions last 50-minutes and are scheduled weekly, beyond that they may vary quite a bit. There may be laughter, tears, or both at the same time. Therapy can be exhausting, exhilarating, and even exciting.

  • I don't know. I offer a 15-minute consultation call at no cost, so we can see if we might be the right fit to work together. You can also get a sense of me here on my website and on my instagram page @gabriellebtherapy. Like with most relationships, it may take time to build a connection with a therapist but it is important to trust your intuition as well.

  • At this time, I provide virtual services for teens and adults who reside in Colorado or Illinois. All counseling sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant and easy-to-use telehealth platform available through the Client Portal.

  • Maybe. Some benefits of online therapy include: convenience, comfort in your own environment, and COVID safety. Some of the challenges of online therapy include: finding a private space, technological difficulties, and focus. Telehealth works best for individuals with mild to moderate symptoms- if you are experiencing an emergency call 911, for 24/7/665 crisis support in Colorado call (844) 493-8255 or text "talk" to 38255.

  • Yes. I am in-network with Anthem, Cigna, BCBS PPO, BCBS Choice, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Aetna, and Centivo.

If you choose to use private pay, I will collect credit card payment in full from you at the time of service. I can provide a superbill to submit a claim for out-of-network reimbursement, I recommend getting pre-approved for this option from your insurance provider before scheduling a session. Please note that submitting an insurance claim means I may be required to provide a mental health diagnosis to your insurance provider.

  • I require 24 hour’s notice of cancellation or you will be responsible for the full cost of the session. I understand that life happens, so an occasional exception may be made. If two consecutive sessions are missed or late cancelled, you will not be able to schedule another appointment until we discuss it. It’s important that we meet consistently in order to make progress and to provide accountability.
