GABRIELLE BENOIT, MA, LPCC
she/her
I studied at Northwestern University, receiving my Master of Arts in Counseling. Since then I have sought to strengthen my skills, training as a Certified Trauma Professional (I will receive my CTP in 2022) to provide my clients with the tools they need to live with the little and big "T" traumas in their lives. I am experienced with psychodynamic therapy, gender-affirming care, feminist therapy, and polyvagal theory. What this means is that I am interested in the experiences and systems which shaped you and brought you to this moment in time, identifying what forces are holding you back from embracing your best self, and I will respect your identities as we work to embrace your best self, creating a sense of safety which allows you to let go of the past and be fully present in this moment in the here and now. [insert deep breath here].
I have worked and trained with non-profit agencies that serve the LGBTQ communities (including Out Youth and Trans Wellness in Austin, Texas) and the Jewish community (Jewish Family Service) as well as a large telehealth app, providing me with a wide-range of experiences I draw on to support you on your journey.
My specialties include: identity development for new adults and new parents, processing traumas, improving anxiety, relational issues, and life adjustments.
I love to read, travel, and to watch my child discover the world.
